Welcome to our training pages, with exciting new opportunities coming up in 2018 to advance your practical and client-focused skills with EMDR.
Working closely with Dr Laurel Parnell from the USA and her Attachment-Focused approach to EMDR, our trainings and supervision – where appropriate with official EMDR Association CPD points – are designed to build on the work you’ve done so far in Parts 1 to 3/4 of your basic training, and equip you to work with the most complex client presentations.
We place particular emphasis on resourcing clients with imaginal support figures and team – more than just the special place of the Standard Protocol – and on Dr Parnell’s simple bridging technique to identify the most powerful early roots of trauma both big and small for effective targeting.
We empower our trainees to use intuition and creative, imaginal interweaves to reach the places that standard EMDR can find difficult to access, giving you permission and skills to adapt and build on what you already know about EMDR to the very best advantage of your more complex clients.
In 2018, we are delighted to be bringing two sets of complementary trainings to the UK – three days with Dr Parnell herself in London from September 21-23, and the option of two two-day weekends earlier in the year with EMDR Focus’s own Mark Brayne.
In all these trainings, we’re thrilled to be supported by a keen new team of UK-based training facilitators, including Annabel McGoldrick, Jutta Brayne, Shawn Katz, Sarah Robinson, Jayne Smith-Avery and James Thomas.
