This is a placeholder for the time being for plans (with partner Jutta and also in Sydney with Annabel McGoldrick of EMDR Insight) to reprise the in-person attachment-informed EMDR workshops we had to cancel in August 2020 (thanks Covid-19) for Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
More info as we get closer, but at this point, this entry on the EMDR Focus website is to canvas interest in in-person workshops in all four venues in February and March 2026 – dates and venues outlined below.
We don’t (can’t) yet know for certain what the cost is going to be, but being in-person and with overheads like venue and catering, we do need to cover our outlays.
There’ll be two days in Auckland (Fri-Sat Feb 13-14) at the Glendowie historic homestead, followed by a full three days in Sydney Thur-Sat Feb 19-21 at the Crows Nest.
Depending on interest, we’ll probably do Days 1 & 2 in Sydney as a full intro to/reminder of both the basics and the extended interweaves of ai-EMDR, with day 3 open also to old friends who are already well-versed in this way of working, keen to learn the latest and curious to go deeper.
We move on to Melbourne Fri-Sat Feb 27-28 at the Abbotsford Convent, finishing up in Perth at the Fremantle Sailing Club Fri-Sat March 6-7.
All workshops will be a mixture of refreshers on the basics of attachment-informed EMDR as it’s unfolded and been developed over the past 10 years, with lots of clarifications and enrichments, and explorations of the wonderfully creative and transformative Extended Interweaves of Dreams, Intergenerational and Parts.
At each workshop Mark Brayne will be doing live session demonstrations, which is where so much of the learning happens, with loads of space for questions, discussion and perhaps some answers, as well perhaps as for some facilitated pair-work.
More details as this idea unfolds, but the idea here is primarily to canvas interest in joining us – expecting (no promises at this point, and also depending on how much catering we’ll need to provide) that costs will be in the region of 600-800 dollars or so. Scroll on down…
