Katie is a UKCP-registered integrative psychotherapist and EMDR therapist in private practice, and also co-founder with brother George of Bilateral Base, EMDR’s increasingly go-to web app for delivering this amazing therapy online.
She met Mark Brayne in 2019 when she interviewed him for her doctoral research into ‘How EMDR can be integrated into a relational therapeutic approach when working with clients presenting with complex trauma’.
Katie subsequently completed Mark’s training and was blown away by how beautifully this approach fitted with her relational, integrative way of working, something she had found challenging with the basic EMDR training.
As well as doing research and clinical work, Katie is also one of the founders of ‘Bilateral Base’ which provides a video conferencing platform with integrated BLS capability for online EMDR as well as high quality wireless equipment for in-person therapy.
With husband Andy, Katie is the central back-office team keeping EMDR Focus on the road as an organisation providing both training and supervision in attachment-informed EMDR
