This is a special online “compensation” workshop for colleagues in Australia and New Zealand who had hoped to join Mark live in-person in Feb/March 2026 but either weren’t able to make it off the waiting lists or registered after these had closed.
Aussie and Kiwi friends who did make it the actual workshops are also welcome to join as a refresher.
Across two mornings UK time/afternoons and early evening in Australia/NZ, we will fly low over the whole terrain of attachment-informed EMDR as taught by Mark Brayne, with live demonstrations, structured teaching, Q&A, and some space to practise personally in pairs.
This is designed as both a solid reset of the fundamentals and a taster perhaps for joining the full Unleash Part 1 and Part 2 later.
We’re pitching the price at an unusually affordable GBP195AUD 395/NZD 425.
Follow-up Online Workshop: Attachment-Informed EMDR Fundamentals
Dates and times
- Saturday–Sunday 18–19 April (12 contact hours, with breaks)
- UK: 0600–1200 / Sydney: 1500–2100 / Auckland: 1700-2300.
Who this is for
- Colleagues who missed out on the Feb/March in-person workshops and didn’t make it off the waiting list, or perhaps those who cancelled for various reasons.
- Therapists who already have basic familiarity with EMDR and want a clear attachment lens on case conceptualisation, targeting, and session structure.
- People who learn best by seeing the work (live demos) and then trying it in a held, practical way.
What we will do across the two days
In 10 contact hours we will focus on the fundamentals of using EMDR with attachment as the organising lens, with special emphasis on:
- Target identification as the central lever for change, especially when adult distress is driven by root formative experience.
- Working fluently with complex trauma / C-PTSD presentations using disciplined structure, pacing, and containment.
- How Mark uses an attachment-informed “teaching spine” that repeatedly returns to the same core questions:
- How did this person get to be this way?
- Where does EMDR need to go?
- What is the simplest next step that keeps the work safe and moving?
Workshop format
- Live demonstrations with volunteers, followed by detailed Q&A: what unfolded, why, and how.
- Structured teaching segments linking each demonstration back to clear decision-points in the model.
- Paired practice (personal practice in pairs) for specific elements of the approach, with clear instructions and time boundaries.
Core content (briefly, but clearly)
We will cover the essentials of Mark’s attachment-informed approach across the standard EMDR phases, keeping the language practical and reproducible:
- Phase 1: Attachment-informed case conceptualisation (not just history-taking).
- Phase 2: Resourcing that is rich, imaginal, and clinically strategic for complexity.
- Phase 3: Proactive bridging to developmental targets most likely to shift the present.
- Phase 4: Rewiring the past with disciplined structure and an appropriate range of imaginal and creative interweaves.
- Phases 3–7+8: Session structure: beginning–middle–end, safe closure, and “back across the bridge” re-evaluation of the present.
We will also include short, anchored introductions to how Mark works (at “taster” level) with:
- Intergenerational legacy
- Parts / ego states
- Dreams
Accreditation / CE credits
This workshop provides 10 contact hours. EMDRIA points/credits can be sought by participants if colleagues so wish (subject to the relevant application/approval process).
Booking
Please use the booking form on this page to reserve your place. If you were previously on a waiting list for Feb/March, this workshop is designed specifically for you.
To bear in mind
By registering for an EMDR Focus workshop, and recognising that participation can involve both observation and personal experience of sometimes profound processing, participants agree to take appropriate responsibility for their own emotional wellbeing, with access to any necessary therapeutic and/or supervisory support following the workshop should that be needed.
We commit to doing our best to keep the workshop safe and contained, and correspondingly ask participants to take responsibility for their own responses, remaining open and respectful towards the processes and learnings that will unfold.
See here for our full Ts&Cs, including the waiver and release.
Cancellation policy
Once booked, we need to know for certain that you’ll be joining us, and that you’ll stay for the duration. Without full presence, participants may not qualify for any CE/credit documentation required by their accrediting body.
Cancellations up to six weeks before the workshop will be refunded in full minus a 10% handling fee. After that, other than in exceptional circumstances, we regret that we will not be able to offer refunds.
